A call to Fullerton Police Department was placed around 3:30 p.m. today by an unknown caller describing an incident where an English instructor “went off on a student and was shooting,” according to Fullerton College Public Information Officer Andrea Hanstein.

“It was an unfounded, fake call,” said Lt. Andrew Goodrich, Watch Commander of the Fullerton Police Department.

FPD officers and SWAT team arrived on campus, evacuated the second floor of the 1300 building, searched the campus and did not find any sort of activity that matched up with the call.
