“Made in Hollywood”: A night with LANY

POMONA— LANY took to the stage to preform to a sold out crowd on Tuesday, April 25 at The Glass House in Pomona.

The line wrapped around the building and down the block as fans of all ages anxiously waited to get in.

The trio kicked off the night with their song “Bad, Bad, Bad” and the crowd chimed in to sing back every word.

The LA-based alternative indie band LANY was formed back in 2014. Hits like “Walk Away” and “Hot Lights” followed shortly after with a dedicated fanbase growing rapidly in response.

With encouragement from the audience, lead singer Paul Klein, drummer Jake Goss and guitarist Les Priest kept the night moving with fan-favorites like “yea, babe, no way”, “Made in Hollywood” and “WHERE THE HELL ARE MY FRIENDS.”

Throughout the night, Klein would give a smile, followed by a small laugh and words of gratitude and positivity to the enthusiastic crowd.

The group teased their fans with “The Breakup”, which has not yet been released. Klein explained that the song will be on their self-titled album that is set to hit shelves on June 30.

Singles also off the upcoming album, “Good Girls” and “It Was Love” were also played that night. These hits only gave fans just a taste of what is yet to come.

LANY hasn’t been shy about their new album – having already released the album artwork and track list, which can be preordered on the band’s online shop.

Continuing on in true LANY style, the sound of the new album is just a simple and sweet as the ones before – conveying a deep message in the most simple and purest way possible.

As the night progressed, the energy from the audience never stopped. Sometimes the voices in the crowd singing along grew louder than Klein’s.

At one point, the singer stopped mid-song just to share with the packed room how surprised and blown away he was by all their support.

The night came to an end with a sweet thank you. As the band exited, an array of petals from the many roses that were tossed in support decorated the stage.
