Quad Hunt is an annual Halloween-themed event hosted by Associated Students which will take place this year on Tuesday, Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
According to Melissa Castaneda, Vice President of Activities, the event consists of a lot of club involvement and resource booths.
There will be entertainment such as music, a costume contest and a pie eating contest. Free food will be available for students with A.S. benefits.
The event will start with costume and pie eating contest sign ups from 10 to 11:30 a.m. All students are able to participate for either or both.
Over 40 active FC clubs are expected to participate in the event. All clubs will display their Halloween themed booths and services for students. This year’s new clubs include Econ Club, Accounting Society, Child Development and Society of Women Engineers to name a few.
In honor of the participating clubs, Quad Haunt will have a best booth contest from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Each participating club’s booth will be judged based on the decoration and effort that its members put into it.
A.S. will also collect food donations for the upcoming food bank. Donations can be made through the A.S. booth.
The costume contest will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Quad Haunt will conclude with the pie eating contest starting at 12:30 p.m.
“We try to encourage as many people in campus to participate,” said Castaneda.
