Quad Haunt is an annual event put on and hosted by the Associated Students as a way for Fullerton College to celebrate Halloween.
This event includes a costume contest, various clubs and booth setups, music and interactive activities for students to engage in as well as show off their Halloween spirit. Many students go all out with their costumes and really take advantage of this celebration.
Alyssa Hosmer, a student at Fullerton College, said that she went to Quad Haunt both last year and this year and finds it very entertaining. “I love seeing how people get so into it and come to school with full on costumes and makeup.”
The event gets pretty crowded and is almost like a rally. Many of the booths give away candy and have little games for students to enjoy. There is also a can food drive that takes place during Quad Haunt.
Jarod Vassia, a second year at Fullerton College, said he was unaware that Quad Haunt even takes place but was drawn in by the loud music and enthusiastic crowd. “I saw a bunch of people in costumes…some of them were dancing around and looked like they were having a good time so I decided to check it out.” Vassia said if he knew about this event he would’ve considered dressing up.
Daniel Martinez, another student, said that he doesn’t really celebrate Halloween but he still had an enjoyable time at Quad Haunt. He also thinks it’s nice that Fullerton College even has an event for Halloween because many schools don’t even acknowledge the Holiday.
Quad Haunt is meant to make students look forward to coming to school on Halloween.
