The Fullerton College Foundation will host the inaugural President’s Gala at Fullerton College on Nov. 11.
The nonprofit organization will host the event where a number of attendees will be recognized for their contributions to Fullerton College and their students. Along with awards recognition for the selected individuals, there will be a reception dinner and silent auction.
“It’s a fundraising event. Any proceeds raised through ticket sales and sponsorships will go back to the foundation and ultimately come back and support students through scholarships,” said Communications Director Lisa McPheron.
Those being honored for their contributions in the community are Curtis Chan, Theresa Harvey, Dan Hughes, Adela Lopez, Warren and Nancie Mitchell, Gerald Stack and Jered Vaichis.
“The honorees were selected by the Fullerton College Foundation board of directors for their support of the college in a variety of ways and their positive impact on the community,” said McPheron.
The event will begin with a reception in the library that will include a silent auction and an opportunity for guests to mingle and have a drink. Following the auction, the event will move to the campus dining room where dinner will be served, live music will be played and the honorees will be presented with their awards.
Those interested in attending the event can do so by purchasing an individual ticket. More information on tickets for the event are available here.
