Undecided about your major? Workshops to be held by the Career and Life Planning Center

Career and Life Planning will host two workshops for Fullerton College students that are undecided on their major.

The first workshop on Nov. 21 will run from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m, and the second will take place on Dec. 4 from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

One of the many challenges some, if not all, new and existing college students struggle with is choosing a major or being assured about their life after college.

When entering a junior college, students focus on meeting their general education requirements, taking the right courses, and staying on track. While all that matters, students can get lost in the process.

In the midst of being consumed by coursework, there is little time to think about what the future holds and how to reach personal and career goals.

This is where the Career and Life Planning Center plays a role for students during their stay at Fullerton College.

Holding a workshop specifically for uncertain students, they will learn about the Career Planning Process, take a free interest assessment, and learn how to make informed decisions about choosing a major.

After completing the activities, students are encouraged to meet with a counselor for an individual appointment to create a Student Educational Program Plan.

The career center offers many resources and counseling to those who are uncertain about their futures. The center is actively engaged with students and the campus.

In order to partake in the workshop, RSVP by calling 714-992-7121 or by coming into the Career and Life Planning Center located in the Student Services Building on the second floor.
