A brave young girl Fa Mulan (Ming-Na Wen) who was limited to the world because she was born a girl saves her father by taking his place in war. In the 1950’s a progressive teacher Ms. Watson (Julia Roberts) in an all-female college motivates and gives the female students empowerment to pursue a career and be more than just a wife.
