Review: The Twisted Vine a Great Place for Food and Wine

Downtown Fullerton is full of fun, loud bars and restaurants but there’s a hidden little gem called The Twisted Vine. It’s a great place with a mature yet relaxed vibe. With a wide variety of wine, craft beers and a full extensive menu to enjoy as well.

The menu offers a wide variety of items from pastas to pennies, cheese platters, braised meats, salads and much more. The best part is all these dishes are geared towards the wine with their complimenting flavors and tastes.

Some people say the steak panini is very cheesy and full of perfectly seasoned steak. However, with a good server a good recommendation of wine can compliment the flavors.

A popular dish is the baked brie, a bread bowl full of cheese perfect with any wine. Their steak and pepper panini is a popular cheesy sandwich full of bell peppers and flavorful onion aioli.

If you have a sweet tooth they offer desserts along with dessert wines. A variety of full body medium, ports and of course sparkling wines.

The dessert wines are a must but so are the desserts you can eat. They offer five different desserts which include a lovely chocolate fondue and stuffed french toast empanadas.

The atmosphere has the perfect ambiance with music playing and it isn’t too loud so you can still enjoy a conversation. This makes it a great spot for all occasions including a romantic dinner or a fun girls night out. A great place for friends to enjoy the bar and for everyone to lounge on the cozy couches at some of the tables.

A plus side to the amazing options for wine and food was the great service. If it’s your first time don’t be intimidated by the wide variety of wines they offer. You can order the wine flight a get a little taste of a few or the servers have great recommendations on wine pairing.

If you aren’t sure what to try they offer new flights every Thursday. This includes a red wine, white wine and a craft beer one so you can have a little taste of each.
