Hornets sports weekend recap

Women’s Water Polo

The Hornets went 3-0 at the Ventura College tournament over the weekend.

Friday, the lady Hornets first match v.s. Santa Barbara was cancelled but the second match resulted in big 18-10 win for Fullerton. That momentum carried over to the second day of the tournament as Fullerton defeated San Diego Mesa 14-4 in game one and San Diego Miramar 16-4 in game two.

The Hornets record improves to 18-2 as they look to continue their success on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at Orange Coast College.

Men’s Water Polo

The Hornets swept the competition at the Cypress mini tournament on Friday. The men defeated Citrus 17-14 and Cypress 14-11.

The Hornets even out their record at 9-9 on the season and will play San Diego Miramar at Santa Monica College on Friday, Oct. 18.

Women’s Volleyball

Volleyball took down the Saddleback Gauchos 3-1 in their conference match up on Friday. The win improves the Hornets record to 10-6 on the season and 5-1 in conference.

The Hornets will take on Golden West at home on Wednesday, Oct. 16.

Women’s Soccer

Hornets Soccer drops a close game 2-1 to the Saddleback Gauchos. The only goal scored for the Hornets came from Regina Sanchez Molina. This was a tough loss for the Hornets after coming off of a big win over over Santa Ana on Tuesday, Oct. 8

Hornets look to rebound against Santiago Canyon on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
