The Fullerton College Library and Cadena Center are holding a Gender Literacy 101 session to help students understand the diversity on campus within the LGBTQ community.
This event was set up to support and better understand the diverse transgender, non-binary and gender non-conforming community at Fullerton College.
The session will be held in room 1440 on Oct. 25 from 1:30-4 p.m. and will include a Q&A session following the presentation.
Scott Turner Schofield, from GLAAD’s Trans Media & Representation will be presenting at the session. With his role on CBS’s “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Schofield became the first openly transgender actor on daytime television. He also works as a consultant, coach and spokesperson for gender diversity. Recently he has worked on the set of the HBO show, “Euphoria” as a transgender sensitivity trainer.
GLAAD is a non-profit, started in 1985, which focuses on tackling tough issues to shape the narrative and provoke dialogue that leads to cultural change regarding the LGBTQ community.
