Kentro Greek Kitchen as stated on its website is a “Contemporary Eatery in Downtown Fullerton” that houses the culinary tradition of Greek cuisine. Their complete menu of spreads, flatbreads, soups, salads, entrees and desserts gives people a wide variety of items to choose from the large blackboard menu when you enter the restaurant.
The keftedes were the best starters for a great meal. The meat was flavorful, soft and the tomato sauce gave the meatballs an extra kick of spice.
The sauce was perfect to dip with the slices of bread. Unfortunately, there was not enough of the kefalotiri cheese. The “For the Table” appetizers range from $8 to $14 and the keftedes cost $10.
The restaurant offers many flatbreads, but the lamb flatbread comprised of oregano potatoes, tzatziki and kasseri cheese is a must-have for any lamb lovers. The combination between the lamb, flatbread, potatoes, kasseri cheese and tzatziki sauce was perfect in every way.
Nothing was burnt or unsatisfying for the cost of $13 and the size of the flatbread was worth the price. It is definitely a meal within itself and is highly recommended. The lamb flatbread was the biggest surprise out of the food items that were chosen.
The souvlaki which consists of chicken skewers, wild rice and tzatziki sauce was a perfect portion. Customers can also substitute the wild rice for any other side but for two dollars more, the customers can substitute for a salad.
This dish was disappointing for the price of $16 because the wild rice had a lot of flavors that clashed each other.
Customers can enjoy their Kentro Greek Kitchen experience with a Greek beer, white and red wine, espresso, or Greek coffee.
Overall, the food was worth the price. This city center of Greek food in Fullerton brings everyone together to create a memorable experience for its customers. It is advised to arrive early for dinner because the restaurant does not take reservations.
