April Bey’s “Welcome to Atlantica,” will be featured in FC art gallery’s artist in residency.
Bey is originally from the Bahamas but now resides in Los Angeles. Her artwork is known for the social critique of American and Bahamian society. She has a permanent collection at the California African American Museum and the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas.
The exhibit is now open and will run until Monday, Mar. 30. As part of the residency, demonstrations by the Bey will be held in room 1023 from Mar. 9-12.
The gallery is located in room 1004 and the hours are Monday through Thursday at 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and 2-4 p.m. The gallery is closed on Fridays. The entrance into the gallery is free for everyone.
The gallery will be open on selected evenings available on Mar. 18, 24 and 30 from 6-8 p.m.
