In February, we announced our Summer 2024 artist spotlight competition, which is an exciting bi-annual opportunity for Fullerton College artists to have their work featured in the print and online issues of Inside Fullerton, the student magazine at FC!
The theme this issue was summer. Florals for spring, I know. We kept it vague so you could show us your most impressive work, to go along with our themed issue. Reviewing your submissions was inspiring, and the creativity was clearly off the charts. 10s across the board to you all! The true star of the show, however, and the winner of the Summer 2024 artist spotlight feature is “A Villain’s Day Off” by Brandi Kim.
Thank you for your submissions this spring semester! Your stellar work does not go unnoticed! In exciting news, Inside Fullerton will be returning in the fall with newly-revamped rules for the upcoming artist spotlight competition. Any and all art submissions are welcome! This includes all mediums of artistry; the boundaries have gone haywire!
Send your art submissions anytime to [email protected]. Stay tuned to our Instagram (@insidefullerton) where we’ll announce the artist spotlight competition in the fall!
If you didn’t get featured in the magazine this time around, but you’d like to work directly with Inside Fullerton or The Hornet as an illustrator for a story, also contact us or email [email protected].

Artist’s Note:
“Hello! My name is Brandi Kim, and I’m a graphic design major with a passion for creating whimsical, fun illustrations. I also enjoy producing handmade stationery, merchandise and apparel that showcase my love for cute and playful art. The comic is part of a personal story I’m developing, inspired by my love for Dungeons and Dragons. This project reflects my creativity and storytelling interests. My ultimate career goal is to produce my own animated TV series, books, and products, bringing my imaginative worlds to life. I’m excited about the endless possibilities in the realm of creativity and can’t wait to share more of my work with you.”
