Basketball:
The mens basketball team wrapped up their season on Friday with a double digit loss to Irvine Valley, ending up with a 4-23 overall record in the 2014-2015 season.
Despite ending the season with two straight losses, the Lady Hornets (16-11) basketball team will look to upset Ventura (25-5) on Friday in the quarterfinals of the SoCal Regional postseason tournament.
Baseball:
The Hornet baseball team wrapped up a four-game stretch in five days and managed to go 3-1 during that span, increasing their overall record to 9-3. The team also beat Mt. San Antonio College on the road Monday to complete their series sweep of the Mounties.
Softball:
The softball squad played just two games last week, losing to Santiago Canyon on Wednesday and beating Riverside on Friday.
Tennis:
The mens tennis team improved their overall record to 4-2 after claiming victory against El Camino 5-4 last Tuesday. Their next opponent is set to be Orange Coast on Thursday at 2 p.m.
The womens tennis team played on the road in their sole match of the week, beating Antelope Balley by a score of 7-2. Their next match will be against Orange Coast at home on Thursday.
Track and Field:
Both the men’s and women’s track and field team competed against Saddleback College and Golden West on Friday and then made their way to the Pomona-Pitzer Invite on Saturday.
There were some notable performances by the Hornets this weekend starting with freshman Adrian Williams’ first place 51.44 time in the 400-meter run.
On the women’s side, Jasmine Williams posted the best result in the shot put with a distance of 9.10 meters.
The next track event comes on March 6 for the Cal State Los Angeles Invite.
