On April 24, Sandra Ford, 52, was T-boned in her SUV while driving North on Lemon through the Chapman Avenue intersection. The impact caused her SUV to spin into a Chevrolet Cavalier heading South on Lemon.
The gray Acura Integra that struck Fords vehicle sustained heavy damage across the front end and the driver was taken to St. Jude’s Hospital to be treated for multiple injuries.
Andrew Miller, 20, an English major at Fullerton College saw the accident standing on the south east corner of Chapman and Lemon.
“It was crazy, I’ve never actually seen a crash before. That lady [points at Ford] got T-boned and spun into that car [points at Chevrolet],” Miller remarked.
The driver of the Chevrolet Cavalier was also taken by ambulance to St. Jude’s to be inspected for injuries.
No information could be given regarding the two patients.
“When its raining, go slow; slow and be aware of whats around you,” said Jim McKamy, Campus Safety coordinator.
Ford stated that she was traveling North on Lemon through a green light and she was hit out of the blue.
“I didn’t see it coming, I wasn’t really paying attention, I was kind of zoned out and just driving,” Ford said.
