A look at Fullerton’s aviation jewel

Fullerton Municipal Airport is the only general aviation airport in Orange County. The airport was founded in 1927, with the FAA tower opening in 1959. The airport’s motto is “Fly Friendly”.

Stationed at the airport is the AFI Flight Training Center. Lessons are offered to become a private or professional pilot. First lessons are $99.00 and include the opportunity to fly with an instructor. You can reach the training center at 714-773-0741 or on their website www.flyafi.com.

The airport also offers field trips to elementary schools. Students take part in a science curriculum based on flight then complete their studies with a trip to the airport. For more information contact the airport at 714-738-6323.
