Rows of automobiles lined the walkways of the Anaheim Convention Center as the 2015 Orange County International Auto Show opened its doors on Oct. 15.
More than 30 manufacturers displayed their new and upcoming cars that ranged in a variety of features from high-end luxury convertibles to sporty off-road vehicles.
The upper floor promoted 2016 models from Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Ford, Dodge, and other automobile companies, where consumers were able check out cars and test drive them as well.
The lower floor exhibited the “Exotic Gallery” where high-performance vehicles such as the McLaren 570S by MSO, Lamborghini Aventador SV Roadster, Ferrari F12, and Maserati GranTurismo, among others, were showcased behind railings much like works of art presented behind the ropes in a museum.
Hyundai and Dodge welcomed families to their video game simulation area where older children could drive a stationary car while looking at a television screen to navigate a course. The Discovery Cube Orange County science museum in Orange County was also present offering children the opportunity to race Hot Wheels toy cars on a 40-foot track.
Museum representatives also maintained a booth where visitors could spin a wheel to win prizes such as Hot Wheels toy cars and passes to the Discovery Cube.
Opening night of the show on Thursday was light in attendance but during the rest of the weekend, traffic was heavily congested around the convention area.
The dates for next year’s OC International Auto show have not been announced.
