After a close race, the polls have been closed and the city of Fullerton has some updates to their council.

Both Jennifer Fitzgerald, Mayor of Fullerton, and Bruce Whitaker, council member, were reelected to their seats.

Larry Bennett, a resident and business owner in the city, was also elected, beating Jesus Silva by a narrow 2 percent for the third seat in this year’s election.

Fitzgerald was first elected into the council in 2012, and has served as mayor since 2014. Whitaker began his time on the council in 2010, and even served as Mayor Pro-Tem in 2012.

Bennett is currently serving as a member of the Fullerton Chamber of Commerce and as Fullerton’s Planning Commissioner.
