Fullerton College LiveWire hosts its bi-annual Open Mic Night here at Fullerton College on Wednesday, Apr. 18, at 7 p.m. in Rooms 224-228.
Open Mic Night captivates the students, faculty, staff, and community members to participate by sharing original poetry, prose, music, and even dance.
The event provides a great ambience for everyone to inspire and be inspired personally and intellectually. It’s a night of creative appreciation.
“About a hundred to two hundred people attend every year,” said Ryan Shiroma, professor at Fullerton College.
This event is an opportunity for everyone to share and discuss ideas. Published writers will be invited to share their stories as well as volunteers from the community.
“This event’s growing popularity can be attributed to the ongoing support that we receive from our dedicated faculty and staff, the Transfer Center, our Printing Department, members of LiveWire, and word of mouth from the previous attendees.” Shiroma added.
Each act will have three minutes of stage time. Sign-ups will begin at 6:30 p.m. If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please be sure to fill out a paper slip at the check-in booth.
