Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Bloom Theory Atelier and RSVP Event Space held a free two day event Friday and Saturday that featured five different businesses in order to create the ultimate one-stop-shop for Valentine’s Day. This event was held at RSVP Event Space in Downtown Fullerton.
Bloom Theory founder Charm Tuazon-Walker and her team organized the pop-up along with other small businesses as a way to showcase their great products. Space is usually used for weddings, parties and other social events, however, because of the pandemic, Owners Nellie Mun and her husband Young say they “have had to find creative ways to rent the space.” The location itself is beautiful and spacious with exposed washed brick and good lighting.
There were five small businesses that took part in the event. Romeo Chocolates, which is based in Long Beach, featured gourmet chocolates like the Berry Bliss Bar (pictured below). Valentine’s cards by Shop Kari Winters were available for purchase and handmade. Shop Bexo, which stands for “be xtraordinary,” had an array of jewelry for sale including stunning necklaces, rings, earrings for all different styles. Bloom Theory Atelier’s founder showcased their beautiful and fragrant flower arrangements. Charm and her team created an inviting atmosphere with these colorful arrangements.
Charm founded Bloom Theory in August 2018. Since then, the business has grown and has become increasingly philanthropic. Their contributions include a workshop with seniors using repurposed flowers, working with/supporting young girls and using art to address mental health.
Floral arrangements are lovely gifts any time of year but are especially fitting gifts for loved ones on Valentine’s Day.
“Flowers are for more than just love, they can be a gift of kindness for friends and family,” explained Charm Tuazon-Walker. “Kindness is certainly something we all could use after this past year.”
Bloom Theory has previously participated in farmer’s markets, but this was their first pop-up and they hope to do more in the future. They were expecting anywhere from 50-100 this weekend and had reached out to as many as 1,000 people.
