The love is coming back to Fullerton!

The city of Fullerton will be adding its name to the list of other cities (Anaheim, Buena Park, Brea, Costa Mesa, La Habra, La Mirada, Orange, Placentia, and Tustin) to OC United’s “Love your City”.

“Love your City” will be held this Saturday, Apr. 28, with events being held throughout the city of Fullerton.

The Love Your City serve days (also known as Unite for Cities) is an initiative by non-profit OC UNITED which exists to empower the vulnerable who have experienced the breakdown of the family unit.

This includes citizens, church members, local city government, non-profits, businesses and more.

OC United believes that Orange County cities can do more together than apart and hope to see that the community at-large grows in its bold love for each other.

“Love Your City is not just about the one-day service event, but about the additional 364 days of the year,” said Marketing Manager Brandon Morales. “Our hope is that our cities would be catalyzed to serve throughout the year. We want people to experience the following: Demonstrating kindness, meeting needs, and impacting lives.”

The community can expect a high energy and fun rally in the morning with breakfast, followed by an opportunity to serve and finally end with a luncheon.

Ending the day will be an after-party at Fullerton College in the Quad with volunteers from all over Orange County.

“Our goal is to provide a fun and engaging opportunity for the community to love their neighbors and see that it’s not only not that difficult, but it’s enjoyable to serve,” Morales stated.
