Six ideas to celebrate mom this Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is soon approaching and it is a special time to prove your love and appreciation to her on this day, these sentiments can of course be shown throughout the year, but on Sunday, May 13, here are six activities and ideas in and around Fullerton to celebrate your mom and make it even more memorable.

Mother’s Day brunch at the Fullerton Arboretum

Spring Tea Garden

At the Springfield Banquet and Conference Center located on Harbor and Chapman in downtown Fullerton, you can take your mother to their Spring Tea Garden. Enjoy a traditional tea experience with a pot of tea, scones with Devonshire cream and jam, fresh fruit and a gourmet dessert bar. An array of hats will be available to try on as well to add to the elegance of the occasion. It lasts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. And prices are $24 per guest. Call them to reserve at 714-447-0579.

The Summit House

The Summit House restaurant located in Brea, CA. has created a Mother’s Day menu lasting from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The menu will consist of diverse selections including old favorites like artichoke hearts, lobster bisque, Chilean sea bass and Colorado lamb shank. The Royal Hawaiian

Located in beautiful Laguna Beach, C.A., the Royal Hawaiian is a local favorite for any special occasion. They will be open from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., including a brunch available until 2:30p.m. Treat mom to an island-inspired menu consisting of macadamia crusted French toast, Royal Oni-Ono salad, their Royal Hawaiian burger, and Pacific grilled swordfish. Mother’s Day Cruise

Aside from great food and atmosphere, why not take mom on an adventure? Board the OCean Adventures Catamaran for a two hour Mother’s Day cruise on Sunday, May 13. The cruise is hosted by Dana Wharf Cruises and will take you from Dana Point harbor to Laguna Beach. Pageant of the Masters
