The 15th annual ¡Bienvenidos!

The Cadena cultural center at Fullerton college will be hosting ¡Bienvenidos!- an annual day of welcome. It is going to be held Tuesday Sep. 17 from 10 a.m. to 1.p.m. on the Fullerton College quad, in front of the library.

This yearly event celebrates ethnic and diverse backgrounds and gives resources to all the students at Fullerton College. The event welcomes students with information about Fullerton’s clubs, support programs from local universities, campus services and more. There will also be music and dancing to celebrate the year and the beginning of National Hispanic/ Latino heritage month.

¡Bienvenidos! helps students of all backgrounds, ethnicities and genders get the year started with the help, resources and support they need to succeed. Inclusivity is something that students of diverse backgrounds struggle with, making it harder for students to seek help. The Cadena Center’s mission is to support the underrepresented and create equality for the students at Fullerton College.

“To provide opportunities for Fullerton College community members to increase cultural awareness and competence, examine one’s own world view and increase their sense of belonging to the campus.” – Cadena’s mission statement.

With the vast amount of resources on campus, it’s easy to lose track of how many resources students have. This event will help bring the information that students need to succeed and get involved with student activities, clubs, and programs.
