Three games to play at home with friends

With so many people now at home, it is the perfect time to play some video games. Here are three fun games that can be played both alone and with friends.

“Animal Crossing: New Horizons,” was released on Mar. 25 and is the newest edition of Nintendo’s most relaxing and peaceful titles. Players are greeted with an entire island of their own that can be customized and decorate to their heart’s content.

Players can also interact with each other on the game, inviting others to their islands to do activities together and exchange materials. The game, focusing on simple but entertaining activities, allows players to fish, collect bugs, fossils and more.

“Animal Crossing: New Horizons” is $60 and is available on the Nintendo Switch exclusively.

“Granblue Fantasy Versus,” is the newest release by fighting game developer ArcSystemWorks, in collaboration with Cygames. The game features are simple, but the hard to master mechanics are coupled with a robust tutorial system for new players to come into the game very easily.

With the ability to play both friends and people across the world, the game allows players to test their mantle against a variety of opponents. It also has a variety of single-player activities with an RPG story mode, challenges and training mode.

The game also features a variety of characters. From sword wielders to wrestlers and mages, the game has a character to cater to almost any playstyle.

“Granblue Fantasy Versus,” is available on both PlayStation 4 and PC for $60.

“Call of Duty: Warzone,” is the latest venture into the battle royale genre by Infinity Ward. The game is completely free and features cross-platform play between systems.

The multiplayer game is jam-packed with as many as 150 players going head-to-head, to see who comes out on top. It features a variety of game modes, first of which is battle royale. Although, this battle royale mode has a few new features such as an economic system where players can spend money they have earned in-game to upgrade weapons and armor, mid-match.

There is also plunder mode, where teams of players face off to see which can earn the most money by the end of the match. Money is earned by eliminating enemy players, opening up supply crates and fulfilling contracts.

Call of Duty Warzone is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

These games allow gamers to switch between playing solo or with a group of people while they stay home.
