There was no holding back at the Fonda Theatre.

The U.K.’s soulful and talented musician, James Bay, ended his first U.S. tour May 14 with a night many won’t soon forget at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles.

Fans screamed at the top of their lungs as the curtain lifted and the 24-year-old’s silhouette stood before them.

Immediately after he first strummed his red Epiphone Century guitar, the crowds’ eyes were glued to him while they sang and danced.

James Bay opened his show with his songs, “Collide”, “Craving” and “When We Were On Fire” from his debut studio album, Chaos and The Calm, released by Republic Records March 23 in the U.S.

The young singer-songwriter satisfied the roaring crowd and left them breathless as he performed his hit songs, “Let It Go” and “Hold Back The River.”

After every other song, Bay got back to his fans and interacted with them. He then introduced each band member that was performing with him.

Bay’s presence is one that isn’t easily forgotten.

The atmosphere was extraordinary. To listen to a musician play live and sound exactly like they do in their album is quite a treat, but that’s what James Bay does.

His live performance was impeccable. Bay’s voice was authentic and true to his album. The crowd sang along to each and every song as though they were part of the show.

Bay never held back from anything. Chills were running down fans’ spines as he played a rendition and covered “If I Ain’t Got You” by Alicia Keys.

After playing, “Get Out While You Can” Bay left the stage, but it wasn’t long until he returned for a triple encore.

Although it was a rare chilly, rainy night in Los Angeles, there was nothing cold about this show.

James Bay will be returning in August to perform at Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in San Francisco.
