When you walk into a place welcoming you with a sign that reads “PATTY GIRTH MATTERS,” you can’t help but be intrigued.
Globally Delicious Stuffed Burgers, also known as GD Bro Burger, first started as an Orange County food truck in early 2013 and opened its first brick-and-mortar on Saturday in Santa Ana. They’ve become so popular that they even landed a spot to compete on Food Network’s current season of “The Great Food Truck Race” hosted by Tyler Florence.

They are known for creating burgers with toppings that aren’t usually found on a traditional burger like a grilled pineapple slice or mozzarella sticks. GD Bro’s popularity grew simply from supportive friends, family, and loyal customers who truly enjoy the non-traditional style of burgers that they offer.
The team behind this culinary enterprise is full of food enthusiasts including Andy Nguyen, co-creator of the ice cream shop Afters known for the unforgettable ice cream donut sandwich called the “Milky Bun.”
“We’ve known the GD Bro team since they’ve opened. We saw a bit of ourselves in them being young at heart, hard working, open-minded and determined to make an impact. An opportunity with helping them create a brick-and-mortar experience was what got us on the team,” Andy Nguyen said.
Once you walk into GD Bro Burger, immediately you notice the verbiage that surrounds the place. The style is very simplistic and modern with most of the décor being their menu on the walls.
The most popular burger on the menu is their Juan & Only, which consists of their signature Angus patty, jalapeño cream cheese topped with fresh pico de gallo and sliced avocado all served on a raspberry colored brioche bun. Now that’s something you’ve never seen before.
The duck fat fries tasted like your normal duck fat fries, but the Parmesan truffle fries were more addicting than a bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheetos. The creamy cheese sauce oozed over the skinny fries like a blanket comforting your hunger.
Their lemonade drinks were also a major hit having been all sold out by the end of the night.
The 1.5-hour line that wrapped around GD Bro Burger all night long is sure to continue even weeks after their grand opening because these guys can make an unconventional burger that will get you leaving in that food coma you never regret.
They are open “ERRRDAY” from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and located at 2321 E. 4th St. in Santa Ana, California.
