Freedom through storytelling

April is Sexual Assault Awareness month, Fullerton College offers an array of events to provide both support and resources.

Take back the night honors survivors that have been affected by Sexual Assault.

This particular event provided knowledge about the pervasiveness of Sexual Assault to educate and also help prevent it

The first part of the night offered a self-defense lesson that began at 5:30pm in the quad.

Self-defense training gave students information from local police officers on ways to proactively stay prepared in the event that they may be attacked.

Following the self-defense training was a Night Rally and Candlelight Vigil which began at 7pm.

The candlelight vigil was a silent remembrance to honor all those who have been affected by sexual assault, and the people who have lost their lives due to this.

Attendees as well as the speakers came together to support and raise awareness in sexual assault.
