Every student’s favorite time of the semester is almost here, whether it’s some much needed R&R or a night on the town, Fullerton has plenty to offer for every spring break need.
Downtown Fullerton is thriving with eclectic music venues. The Slidebar and The Continental Room will be hosting a number of concerts during spring break week.
Bigger venues like The Chain Reaction and House of Blues Anaheim are just a short drive away to discover new music.
Music festivals are a huge part of summer and The Observatory in Santa Ana is presenting a two day music festival, BURGERAMA on March 28-29.
This is just in time to prepare music-fest lovers for the upcoming music festival, Coachella to kick off spring break with a bang with headliner bands: Weezer and Ty Segall.
If being the one on stage is more appealing, then The Night Owl coffee shop might be the place to be. They offer an open mic night every Tuesday at 8 p.m.
Find comedic relief at STAGES Theater in Fullerton. STAGES is presenting “Dead Man’s Cell Phone” now through April 19. The comedy dives into themes of morality, redemption and the need to connect in a technologically obsessed world.
For more entertainment, dancers take the stage at BIG’s Sports Bar and Restaurant in “Burlesque Prohibido: A Tribute to Selena” on March 28 at 9 p.m.
Everyone’s favorite superheroes will be invading The Honda Center, March 27-29 at “Marvel Universe LIVE!” Join Marvel heroes on an epic quest to defeat villains through a live action show involving acrobatics and stunt work.
Then head over to The Slidebar in Fullerton for a Geek Meet. Join fellow nerds to hang out, listen to music, play games and converse about who will be attending Wondercon at The Anaheim Convention Center April 3-5.
To continue the comic fix, check out the Fullerton Museum Center’s “Heroes & Villains: The Comic Book Art of Alex Ross” exhibition. The museum is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
Along with Downtown Fullerton’s multitude of bars and lounges, Fullerton has many nightclub destinations.
Incahoots, a country line-dancing club is a hotspot among Fullerton college students. Incahoots has weekly events for student friendly prices.
Transport back in time to another fun nightclub, Totally 80’s Bar and Grille. The club hosts ’80s band tribute concerts, dance parties and karaoke, Wednesdays through Sundays. Dress up with friends and dance the night away.
Nightclubs are not everyone’s cup of tea. For students looking for a chance to break away from the books and get a fresh breath of air, check out Fullerton’s many hiking trails like the Panorama Nature Preserve and close by regional parks.
The Fullerton Arboretum is a beautiful oasis in the midst of the city that not only provides an enjoyable scenery but also has public events on Saturdays and Sundays.
Take a chance to explore Fullerton at one of the city’s wide array of events. The Fullerton Artwalk is a local favorite, celebrating the businesses and artists that make up Fullerton. The Art Walk will be held on Friday April 3.
The Fullerton Farmer’s Market is kicking off Saturday April 4. Purchase farm-fresh produce, flowers and baked goods while enjoying live entertainment and activities for all ages.
Fullerton’s Full Moon Haunted Tours are the perfect way to get to know the town’s colorful history and will be taking place on the evening of April 4.
