"I am a current Fullerton College student with prior experience serving as an Equity Senator at Coastline College, where I developed a strong foundation in student representation and advocacy. In that role, I worked to ensure that student perspectives, particularly those from underrepresented groups, were clearly communicated and considered in discussions impacting the campus community. I also contributed to the ASG Bylaws Subcommittee and the Student Equity and Achievement (SEA) Workgroup, where I engaged in governance discussions and supported equity-focused efforts that promote student success. Through this experience, I have developed a clear understanding of the importance of effective communication between students and campus leadership. Meaningful representation requires not only listening, but also the ability to articulate student concerns in a way that informs decision-making. I approach this responsibility with a focus on clarity, accountability, and follow-through. I am seeking the opportunity to serve as a Student Senator to contribute to this work at Fullerton College. I value structured collaboration and will be an active and engaged participant in meetings, contributing thoughtfully and supporting efforts that improve how students experience and navigate campus. I bring a practical understanding of student needs, along with a commitment to contributing meaningfully in this role. My goal is to serve as a reliable and effective representative who ensures that student voices are clearly communicated and meaningfully represented."
