The Office of the Vice President of Records

The Vice President of Records will be the chairperson of the Judicial Committee, where they take the minutes for the Senate and Executive Council meetings, distribute agendas and information at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting, and gather agendas and minutes from all subcommittees in the Senate. The student elected for this role will work with the A.S. Administrative Assistant or Student Service Specialist to update minutes on the A.S. website.

The Vice President of Records is considered to be part of each standing committee in the Senate and will perform other related duties delegated to them by the President of Associated Students, within reason.

"Hello Hornets, my name is David Alas, I’m a premed Biology major and current project manager for the Biology Club. I’ve aided in planning impactful events such as a 5K fundraiser for CHOC and a suturing lab to help students learn the basics of surgery. I am your prime candidate for V.P. of Records because I’m well-equipped to manage a demanding schedule. I’ve maintained my 3.88 GPA while juggling 3 premed STEM classes, my job as a caregiver, an accelerated EMT course to acquire my certification, as well as my Biology club endeavors and hospice volunteering. I’m running for this position because over these past 2 semesters spent as a student senator, I have seen the changes that can occur on campus when student interests are put first. As a senator, I have deliberately taken an active role in making my voice heard in Senate meetings. I plan to continue pushing forth these interests because this campus and the people within it have brought the best out of me. "I am running for Vice President of Records because I believe organization, transparency, and clear communication are essential for effective student leadership. As a Dual Enrollment Technician at Fullerton College, I work closely with students every day, helping them navigate processes and making sure they get the information they need without confusion. If elected, I will focus on improving how records are maintained and shared, making information more accessible, and strengthening communication between the student government and the student body. I want students to feel informed, represented, and confident in the decisions that impact them. Looking ahead, I aim to help build a more connected and transparent student government where every voice is properly recorded and valued. I am reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to serving with integrity. I would be honored to represent you."

"Hello Fullerton College Hornets! My name is Sophie Duarte, and I am running for Vice President of Records. This is my first year attending Fullerton College, and I am a psychology major. I plan to transfer to UCI and continue my education there to get a bachelor’s degree in psychology. I want to apply for this position to not only be a part of Fullerton College’s student government, but also to make a difference on our campus. This is a position for someone with strong organizational skills, and luckily for you, I have amazing organizational skills. I am very committed to my responsibilities, love to take notes, and am also a very reliable student. I am determined and not afraid to advocate for this community.
