New shows to catch this season:
Empire (FOX) – Academy Award nominees Terrence Howard and Taraji P. Henson star as bitter exes, Lucious and Cookie Lyon, who are at war over the control of the powerhouse record company “Empire” in this Wednesday night Fox drama. Sordid pasts, sibling rivalries, money discrepancies, gang tensions and secret illnesses solidify this new show’s praise as a weekday hit. Empire airs Wednesday on Fox at 9 p.m.
Fresh Off The Boat (ABC) – Fresh out of the controversial role as North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un in “The Interview”, Randall Park plays a Taiwanese father who moves his family from the suburbs of Washington D.C. to Orlando, Fla., during the mid 1990s. Louis Huang with his quirky wife Jessica, played by the hilarious Constance Wu and their 3 sons try to adapt to life after the long distance move. Between “Cristela” and “Black-ish” ABC is building up a pretty diverse comedy line-up in hopes to reflect the true melting pot spirit of America. “Fresh Off the Boat” debuts Wednesday, Feb. 4 at 8:30 p.m. on ABC.

How to Get Away With Murder (ABC) – If the mid-season finale left your jaw on the floor, the second half of Shondaland’s runaway hit is sure to leave you in ruins. Showcreator Peter Nowalk has promised nothing but shock and awe. Viola Davis, this year’s Screen Actor’s Guild award winner for Best Female Actor in a Drama Series, is astounding as the complex and very human lawyer extraordinaire Annalise Keating. Be sure to catch up with the intense drama hit on TGIT (Thank Goodness It’s Thursday) Jan. 29 at 10 p.m.
House of Cards (Netflix) – Kevin Spacey, fresh off two 2015 wins at the Golden Globes and Screen Actor’s Guild Awards for Best Actor in a Drama Series, is as cunning and remarkable as ever portraying conniving Congressman Frank Underwood. The third season drops on Netflix on Feb. 27 at 9 p.m., so get your subscriptions up to date and schedule an all-nighter binging session.
Time to Say Goodbye:
Parks and Recreation (NBC) – Bye Pawnee, we’ll never forget you. Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman lead the cast of our favorite local government office after a time jump to the far off year of 2017. Everyone’s lives are changing…except Jerry or Gary…or whatever his name is now. April is debating her future career and Leslie and Ron aren’t speaking! Oh no! This season we are treated to a slew of guest stars reprising their favorite Pawnee roles for the last time. We also get a classic “Treat Yo Self!” Donna and Tom extravaganza! It will never feel like it’s time to say goodbye to Parks but alas the time has come. Catch two back to back episodes airing every Tuesday night through February on NBC starting at 8 p.m.
Glee (FOX) – The end has come for this musical phenomenon that took the world by storm in 2009. Season six marks the final bow for Rachel Berry, portrayed by the effervescent Lea Michele and friends in the place where it all began, a choir room in Lima, Ohio. After returning from the spotlight, “frenemies” Berry, Mr. Schue and Blaine head three separate and competitive Glee clubs. With crazy twists and enough popular song covers to out-do the Kids Bop catalogue, Glee is sure to have your attention somehow. Glee airs on FOX Friday nights at 8 p.m.
