The Red Cross visited Fullerton College for a blood drive on Tuesday and students and faculty lined up to donate blood.

Across the campus Hornets could be seen with red bandages indicating that they had given what they could in order to make a difference. Madison Crabbe, a chemistry major, was one of those students.

“I wanted to do what I can, every person makes a difference…plus I have a fear of needles and knowing it was for a good cause helped me get over the fear,” Crabbe said.

On the second floor of the 200 building, in room 224, the Red Cross set up six beds for collection with private screening stations to make sure that students were viable candidates for donation.

Nikolas Tanzini, was one of the students lying on the bed undergoing collection, when asked when asked why he donated he remarked that he tries to donate when ever he can and wanted to help out by giving something.

When asked how his experience at this blood drive was he said, “five outta five man.”

After the donation process volunteers were given refreshments to help them regain their strength.

When the day was over more than 100 students had given their time and blood for a good cause.
