The game is on at Lost Levels in Downtown Fullerton

Lost Levels, a retro video game store, in Downtown Fullerton has operated since July with the purpose of bringing old school arcade games to a new millenium.

Steven Torres , owner of the Fullerton location, also owns the original shop in Diamond Bar.

Matt Vasquez, co-owner of the Fullerton location, began working for Torres several years ago.

“I worked with Steven at the first location for about two years and then he approached about opening a new location and asked if I wanted to join: here we are now,” Vasquez said.

Evenings and weekends are the busiest times at Lost Levels. Employees keep the store front up by making change for patrons, stocking shelves with classic and current merchandise and talking all things gaming.

“Right now we’re just trying to get Lost Levels on its feet, but we want to see it evolve into a main attraction for Downtown Fullerton,” Vasquez said.

Cliental ranges from elementary school children to adults all living within a fantasy world of flickering images.

Many are amazed at the quality of the product housed at Lost Levels with new consoles and games arriving monthly.

“Lost Levels is pretty cool, I didn’t expect to something like this in Downtown Fullerton. It’s mostly known for the bars, but I’m very impressed. Old school games for 25 cents, what more could I want, ” said Quoc Nguyen, first time customer.

“I walked in one time and spent 2 hours playing the same game I definitely need to come back!”

Lost Levels Fullerton is located on Harbor Blvd. and Amerige Ave, and is open from 11AM-10PM.
